Last week I managed to complete 2 miniatures just in time for a modeling painting competition called M Con in Singapore. Will post about the 2 new painted miniatures in the next post.
The competition was more of a modeling painting competition of all scale rather than miniature painting . My miniatures were suitable for a category Fantasy and Science Fiction with no scale requirement. I managed to finish up my Banelegion Skeleton Warrior Banner Bearer and Kingdom Death Preacher just in time for the competition. I touched up some of my previous works, Avatar Warrior Priest, Kingdom Death Game Hunter and Space Marine vs Ork for submission as well, bringing a total to 5 entries. As I was short of plinth, I decided to make my own. Cut up some wood block, painted and coated it. As I wanted to maintain the original base for the miniatures, I decided to just placed my miniatures on the plinth and based it with a similar base as the original basing.
I managed to clinch 3 bronzes for 3 of my entries, Warrior Priest, Game Hunter and Preacher. Overall, its was a fun experience participating in this local modeling contest. It was really an eye-opening experience to see all sort of scale modeling and fine craftmanship especially locally here. Will sure be looking forward to the next one soon…
