Banelegions Barrow Skeleton Banner Bearer

Banelegions Barrow Skeleton Banner Bearer was completed just in time for the M Con contest the other time. Bought the miniature a while back, wanted to use the miniature as the Warhammer Vampire Count Wright King Battle Standard Bearer. Back then, I was considering ordering the Wright King Battle Standard from GW, until I stumbled upon Banelegions one. Now, GW has the Wright King Battle Standard in finecast. Guess when I am back with my GW mood, then maybe I consider getting it.

The Skeleton Banner Bearer I painted it to the same theme as my Vampire Count army. Old wore and rusty armour along with Citadel scab red for the worn and torn tunic. I was pretty inspired by the Banner of Hellfire in the previous edition Vampire Count army book, that I had the sword painted in a sort of green glow. Its like he is carrying some kind of flaming magical weapon.

The Skeleton Banner Bearer is then mounted on a rock slab platform. I imagined the Skeleton Banner Bearer climbing up to a sandy rock terrain to raise his magical banner. The rock slab and his boots area were all dusted with weathering powder. Now he is ready to call upon his magical banner…. Cheers!
