Its the Kraken! One of a interesting project I had from client. It was this Kraken miniature model that client uses for their D&D games.
Not too sure where client bought this Kraken from, but the quality was pretty basic, more of boardgame figures kind of quality standard.
The original Kraken miniature model had big round eyes, which I though it was pretty cartoony. I converted and sculpted the eyes with Milliput for a more fierce looking Kraken.
Kraken would not be complete without any sea terrain basing, right? Managed to create this sea terrain for the basing. Once the painting for the Kraken was finished, I sculpted the sea terrain with Milliput epoxy. Once the epoxy harden, it was based, painted and dry brushed. The waves were then added by using Liquitex gloss heavy gel. Finally when all are dried, I painted a layer of Secret Weapon Still Water over the waves to create a wet look! Hold on to the deck, Kraken is coming!
