Trust in the Emperor! I had this fun for this project event organized by a local hobby store to paint 40k Primaris Space Marine beginning of year 2020. Unfortunately the event was cancelled due to the pandemic.
I chose a black scheme for the 40k Primaris Space Marine, which in mind, I decided that I wanted to do a Black Templar. Black Templar has always been one of my favourite Space Marines chapters. I am always tempted to start that Space Marine chapter army, but it never happened, phew. Anyway, I still managed to get it all completed in its full Black Templar glory!
I have always like the idea of the Black Templars having their arms chained to their bolters. So, I decided to add a chain to the bolter and the wrist following some of the illustrations of Black Templars on the internet.
Black is a simple colour scheme, but it is challenging to paint. Started with based black and black, and the highlights were build with layers of airbrushing of shades of different greys. The shoulder pad symbols, I managed to cut them up and join together from a pile of Games Workshop decals, to form the Black Templar symbol.
Now my trust in the Emperor is fulfilled! For the Emperor! Charge!
