Just realized that I have not taken any pictures for my Frostgrave game since I played them couple of years back. I recalled I played the entire campaign and left only the last scenario which I did not managed to complete. Its been a long time for Frostgrave… (*Kris, if you are reading this, are you keen to adventure again? Ha ha)
Anyway I played the Summoner Wizard in Frostgrave. I believed there’s already quite a number of new campaign books since I left off. Last read, I do recall there was a 2nd edition coming, has it? Just did a google Frostgrave 2nd edition, its scheduled for June 2020.
The Summoner wizard design was design with a middle eastern theme, so I recalled when I started I wanted to do a warband with the similar theme. The henchmen were from Gripping Beast, Arab Spearmen and Archer plastic box sprue. The metal crossbow men were from Gripping Beast, Andalusian Crossbowmen. The sculpt style and theme fit my Summoner wizard seamlessly. For the treasure hunter, one was from Gripping Beast range as well, which I cant recall the exact range. The other treasure hunter with the torch was converted from a mix of Frostgrave sprue and the Gripping Beast sprue.
We played Frostgrave on a 4×4 printed pvc mat. Most of the terrain we had were self made with blue foams and craft material. The trees were from GW old range.
Its definitely been a long while since I had any adventure in Frostgrave. I guess Frostgrave game is more of a half dungeon and dragon games with miniatures or RPG with miniatures, for those who are not familiar. Its best to play in a committed series of gaming campaign session so that one can see the grown and progress of your wizard and his warbands. Its always exciting to see what your treasure loot are and spending it on hiring men and buying more equipment. So, anyone in Singapore keen to get into Frostgrave? Drop me a message. Cheers!
