It’s A Song of Ice and Fire basing time! I decided to base all the Non Combat Units and Attachment I used in my usual play list. The Non Combat Units will have a full textured pattern base, while the attachments will have a partial textured pattern and a textured paste side.
For the ASOIAF Non Combat Units (NCU), I went with a green stuff texture base. The Lannister NCUs, I used the Temple rolling pin from Green Stuff world. The Temple rolling pin is a perfect match for the Lannister as it had the Lion symbol pattern on it. I used the Madness rolling pin for the Neutrals Heroes. Neated some sheet of green stuff on a tray, wet the green stuff surface and the rolling pin, and roll away. Took a few attempts to get the perfect roll, and nothing beats that satisfaction feeling when you have a perfect textured pattern sheet. Gosh, I am getting addicted to these rolling and rolling pins.
To get a perfect circle base piece for the NCU, once the green stuff is cured, I used a circle cutter to cut out a perfect round base size. The NCU miniatures are removed from the base, the green stuff texture base then glued to the default base, and the miniature is glued back onto the texture base. I rounded the edge of the texture base with some sandpaper for a smoother feel.
For the attachment miniatures, some of the texture base green stuff leftover are cut and used partially to create a partial textured pattern for the miniatures. Texture paste, pumice from Vallejo is used to spread around the other part of the miniature base. This forms a partial green stuff textured pattern on one side and pumice texture paste on the other partial side. Now, next is to get these NCUs and attachments painted!
