Hey there, fellow galactic citizen! I wanted to share an awesome project I completed around mid-2023: the Star Wars Legion Shadow Collective set. This was such a fun and diverse set to work on, and I couldn’t wait to dive into each of the unique factions: The Pyke Syndicate, The Black Sun, and The Shadow Collective. Let me take you through this colorful journey!
First up, The Pyke Syndicate. These guys have the coolest alien design! Their unique vibe was so much fun to paint. Even though I’m not a Star Wars expert, I really enjoyed bringing these otherworldly characters to life. Their vibrant and distinct features made the process a blast.
Next, we have The Black Sun. Talk about striking! Their design feels like a mix of traditional Mongolian aesthetics with those elaborate coats and a dazzling gold theme. One of the highlights was getting the perfect green skin tone. I spent some time mixing and matching to nail the box art look, and it was totally worth it.
Now, let’s talk about The Shadow Collective—my favorite part! These characters have a serious Boba Fett vibe, which made painting them super exciting. The dynamic poses, especially the jump pack guys, were incredibly satisfying to complete. They really come to life with that Star Wars flair.
